Immediate Family Member. An immediate family member is a spouse, child, parent, grandparent, grandchild or sibling of the employee, or a child, parent, grandparent, grandchild or sibling of the spouse of the employee.

Immediate Family Member. The term “immediate family member” means any member of your immediate family, including any relationship by blood, marriage, or adoption (i.e. your spouse, parents, children, siblings, mothers and fathers-in-law, sons and daughters-in-law, brothers and sisters- in-law) and anyone (other than domestic employees) who shares your home.

Immediate Family Member. A person’s parents, mother-in-law or father-in-law, spouse, brother or sister, brother-in-law or sister-in-law, son-in-law or daughter-in-law and children, and any other individual to whom the person provides material support.

Immediate Family Member. At the time of death of an immediate family member, an employee will be granted bereavement leave hours equal to up to three (3) standard work days based on their position classification as defined in Article 5.08 provided paid sick leave or other paid leave is accumulated to the credit of the employee and is so charged. The employee will be salary deleted if employee has no available time to use.

The definition of “parent” and “child” is as defined by the Hospital’s FMLA policy. At the time of death of a significant other who is not living in the employee’s household, such request shall not be unreasonably denied.

Immediate Family Member. For purposes of this policy, an immediate family member is defined under 10.2.2 of this collective bargaining agreement.
