Appropriate Authorities definition

Appropriate Authorities means any and/or all of (as may be relevant under the circumstances) the UK government bodies and/or government bodies/agencies in the territory where Serious Misconduct may have or is suspected of having taken place, which have responsibility for safeguarding, recording, investigating, enforcing and/or determining allegations of Serious Misconduct and which may include (but shall not be limited to), the DFID, the National Crime Agency, UK Police force, local territory police forces, and social services.
Appropriate Authorities and “Granting Agencies” shall mean any private, local, municipal, county, state, regional, or federal authority agency which may be involved in the Project. It is intended to include the authorities and agencies which require information, Drawings, and Specifications, etc., concerning the Project.
Appropriate Authorities means any and/or all of (as may be relevant under the circumstances) the UK government bodies and/or government bodies/agencies in the territory where Serious Misconduct may have or is suspected of having taken place, which have responsibility for safeguarding, recording, investigating, enforcing and/or determining allegations of Serious Misconduct and which may include (but shall not be limited to), the Client, the National Crime Agency, UK Police force, local territory police forces, and social services;

Examples of Appropriate Authorities in a sentence

  • Labour License, where applicable, issued by Appropriate Authorities with its validity, to be submitted before commencement of work.

  • The Allottee/s hereby agrees that the Allottee/s shall be liable to pay any taxes, levies, statutory charges imposed by Appropriate Authorities applicable to the transfer and sale of said Plot with retrospective effect, and if any recovery proceedings in consequence thereof are initiated.

  • The Supplier shall use reasonable endeavours to obtain consent from any third party which has restricted the disclosure of the CRP Information to enable disclosure of that information to the Appropriate Authority or Appropriate Authorities pursuant to Paragraph 3 subject, where necessary, to the Appropriate Authority or Appropriate Authorities entering into an appropriate confidentiality agreement in the form required by the third party.

  • Appropriate Authorities and Agencies: Municipal, county, state, regional or federal authority with which the project may be involved.

  • As may be required for the purpose, the Appropriate Authorities shall provide adequate physical protection on the boundaries and in the vicinity of any office or meeting space provided to the PCA.


More Definitions of Appropriate Authorities

Appropriate Authorities means central, local and other competent authorities under the law of the country;

Appropriate Authorities means the Secretary of State, the National Assembly for Wales, the Scottish Ministers and the Department of Health and Social Services for Northern Ireland;
Appropriate Authorities means any governmental, semi or quasi-governmental and/or statutory departments, agencies and bodies including but not limited to the Penang Municipal Council, the Penang Development Corporation, the Penang State Authority and the Penang Land Office.
