Biologically Based Mental Illness definition

Biologically Based Mental Illness means schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, paranoia and other psychotic disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and panic disorder, as these terms are defined in the most recent edition of the diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders published by the American Psychiatric Association.

Biologically Based Mental Illness means schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar affective disorder, major depressive disorder, specific obsessive-compulsive disorder, and panic disorder.

Biologically Based Mental Illness means a mental or nervous condition that is caused by a biological disorder of the brain and results in a clinically significant or psychological syndrome or pattern that substantially limits the functioning of the person with the illness, including but not limited to, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, paranoia and other psychotic disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder and pervasive developmental disorder or autism.

Biologically Based Mental Illness means the following mental disorders as they are defined under the following diagnostic classes within the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, edition DSM-IV-TR:

Such Biologically Based Mental Illnesses are defined as schizophrenia/psychotic disorders, major depression, bipolar disorder, delusional disorders, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, bulimia and anorexia.

Biologically Based Mental Illness means a mental, nervous, or emotional disorder caused by a biological disorder of the brain which results in a clinically significant, psychological syndrome or pattern that substantially limits the functioning of the person with the illness. Under the law, the following disorders satisfy the definition of biologically based mental illness: schizophrenia/psychotic disorders; major depression; bipolar disorder; delusional disorders; panic disorder; obsessive compulsive disorders, anorexia and bulimia.

Biologically Based Mental Illness means schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar affective disorder, major depressive disorder, specific obsessive-compulsive disorder, and panic disorder "BEHAVIORAL, MENTAL HEALTH, OR SUBSTANCE USE DISORDER" MEANS POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER, SUBSTANCE USE DISORDERS, DYSTHYMIA, CYCLOTHYMIA, SOCIAL PHOBIA, AGORAPHOBIA WITH PANIC DISORDER, ANOREXIA NERVOSA, BULIMIA NERVOSA, GENERAL ANXIETY DISORDER, AND AUTISM SPECTRUM DISORDERS, AS DEFINED IN SUBSECTION (1.4)(a)(III) OF THIS SECTION.
