Environmental Screening definition

Environmental Screening means a mandatory review of all proposed Investment Subprojects undertaken with the purpose of categorizing them by expected environmental risks and impacts, filtering out proposals grossly detrimental for the environment, and determining appropriate extent and type of Environmental Assessment to be applied to the Investment Subprojects accepted for further processing.
Environmental Screening means an examination of a Project Description submission undertaken by a Panel of the Screening Committee under subsection 11(1) of the Inuvialuit Final Agreement.
Environmental Screening means the preliminary environmental screening of potential environmental impact, if any, arising from, or relating to, a proposed Subproject to be financed either under Part B (support to priority sub-sectors) or under Part D (challenge fund) of the Project;

  • Environmental Site Assessment means a Phase I environmental report meeting the requirements of the American Society for Testing and Materials, and, if in accordance with customary industry standards a reasonable lender would require it, a Phase II environmental report, each prepared by a licensed third party professional experienced in environmental matters.

  • Environmental Safeguards means the principles and requirements set forth in Chapter V, Appendix 1, and Appendix 4 (as applicable) of the SPS;

  • Environmental Infrastructure System means the Environmental Infrastructure Facilities of the Borrower, including the Project, for which the Borrower is receiving the Loan.

  • Environmental Consultant has the meaning set forth in Section 5.17(a).

  • Environmental Costs any and all costs or expenses (including attorney’s and consultant’s fees, investigation and laboratory fees, response costs, court costs and litigation expenses, fines, penalties, damages, settlement payments, judgments and awards), of whatever kind or nature, known or unknown, contingent or otherwise, arising out of, or in any way relating to, any actual or alleged violation of, noncompliance with or liability under any Environmental Laws. Environmental Costs include any and all of the foregoing, without regard to whether they arise out of or are related to any past, pending or threatened proceeding of any kind.
