Fire Service definition

Fire Service means any deployment of firefighting personnel and/or equipment to extinguish a fire or perform any preventative measure in an effort to protect equipment, life, or property in an area threatened by fire. It also includes the deployment of firefighting personnel and/or equipment to provide fire suppression, rescue, extrication, and any other services related to fire and rescue as may occasionally occur.
Fire Service means the Queensland Fire Service in existence immediately before the commencement.
Fire Service means any organiza- tion in any State consisting of per- sonnel, apparatus, and equipment which has as its purpose protecting property and maintaining the safety and welfare of the public from the dan- gers of fire, including a private fire- fighting brigade. The personnel of any such organization may be paid employ- ees or unpaid volunteers or any com- bination thereof. The location of any such organization and its responsi- bility for extinguishment and suppres- sion of fires may include, but need not be limited to, a State, city, town, bor- ough, parish, county, fire district, fire protection district, rural fire district, or other special district.

More Definitions of Fire Service

Fire Service means a Water Service whose flow is used to provide fire protection. "GPM" shall mean gallons per minute.
Fire Service means the engaging in the directing or management of emergency response activities, fire safety prevention inspection, plans examination, fire investigation, hazardous material response, technical rescue response, airport rescue response, airport rescue firefighting, fire service instruction, and the enforcement of the general fire laws of this state and the communities therein by fire service members and organized fire departments and public safety departments.
Fire Service means any connection, pipe or device using water from the Waterworks System only for Fire Protection Use;
Fire Service means any pipes and fittings used for the sole purpose of supplying water to premises to combat fire;
Fire Service means any installation on a Parcel or premises used to supply water solely for fire fighting or fire control purposes;
Fire Service means a fire Department registered with the state fire Marshall under 13 AAC 52.030, an organized fire brigade established under 8 AAC 61.010, Subchapter 01.1302(a)(1), and a wildland fire suppression organization within the Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry, the United States Forest Service, or the United States Bureau of Land Management/Alaska Fire Service.
Fire Service or “The Service”. Subject to the limitations prescribed by this Agreement, “Fire Service” or “The Service” means the New Zealand Fire Service established under Section 3 of the Fire Service Xxx 0000.
